RIP OFF
Lighting Designer
The choreographer for this piece wanted the lighting to reflect the struggle of letting go. The lighting started off with deep monotone color washes and then gradually shifted into a brighter and more sculpted look. The climax of the piece was the dancers crawling from one side of the stage to another while intermittently stopping to do solos. Overall the lighting design seeked to create an immersive and emotionally resonant experience while complementing the raw and powerful movements of the dancers
